A BLIND SENSORY DISCOVERY

While most whisky tastings are conducted under the guise of each taster knowing which aged malt he or she is tasting, the proprietary Blind Sensory Training from Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, takes a different approach to introducing whisky enthusiasts to his or her preferred single malt. The ambassador walks attendees through the provenances of the whisky and the distillery while giving everyone the chance to taste each malt and smell the aromas found in each, without knowing which single malt is being tasted. Once everyone has experienced the history, smell and taste of the Glenfiddich 12 year old, 15 year old and 18 year old, they are encouraged to select which was their favorite. At this time, each person reveals the whisky’s age, offering the taster a chance to experience and choose which single malt they prefer based on its smell and taste.
